Creating one
/poll create opens a wizard that walks through the question, the answer type, the options, and the closing time. /poll from-template skips the wizard for a poll you run regularly. In the dashboard, use .
Ranked choice is worth reaching for when a plain vote would split similar options and let an unpopular one win on a plurality.
While it runs
Results update as votes arrive./poll list shows what is open, and /poll close ends one early.
Whether voters are visible is its own permission, so a poll can be public in its results while keeping who voted for what to staff, or to nobody.
After it closes
Closing posts the results. Anybody who asked to be told is notified by DM. The full result set can be exported as CSV for anything you want to do outside Discord, and an audit log records who created, edited, and closed each poll. Find it under in the dashboard.Templates
Templates save a whole poll setup. If you run a weekly vote with the same options, build it once, save it with Save as template on , and use/poll from-template after that. lists your saved templates.
Required permissions
view_voters is deliberately separate from viewing the poll. Seeing the totals and seeing how each member voted are different things, and a secret ballot stops being secret the moment they are granted together.
